We all had a great time at the end of the year party!  There was a lot of delicious food to sample, and we ate until we were full.

I hope you are all having a happy and healthy vacation!  Enjoy the snow and see you in 2013!

Cookie Recipes

Listed below are the recipes I used for the cookies from class tonight.

Biscotti

Use any combination of dried fruit and nuts you think is tasty!  I used blueberries and almonds, but you could use walnuts and apricots or anything else.

Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies

I added a cup of chopped walnuts instead of raisins.

Happy Baking!

Polar Plunge

There are many different types of fund raising events, but in the winter many organizations like to make use of the extreme temperatures to raise some money.

On Saturday, December 1st, people gathered at Woodlawn Beach after raising money for the Special Olympics of New York.  Participants raised $100,000 for the organization.

But what is the Polar Plunge?  Participants raise money by going for a chilly swim in Lake Erie in December!  Many people wore costumes or body paint, but they were all there for a good cause.
